About Us

Our Story

COOLO Care began in 2023 with a simple goal: to make healthcare feel more human

Founder Jonathan Ransom wanted to go beyond checklists and create something real. And that something came in the form of services. Services that bring comfort, kindness, and warmth to those who might feel alone.

Whether it’s helping someone through recovery or simply being a friendly voice on a hard day, COOLO Care is rooted in compassion and connection.

Giving back is a big part of who we are, which is why 5% of all profits go to the Ronald McDonald House, supporting families and building stronger, more caring communities.

Meet Our Founder

Jonathan Ransom, a proud Columbus, Ohio native, has always believed in the power of connection and community. A graduate of Whetstone High School, Jonathan’s journey began right here in his hometown. He earned his associate degree in Computer Science from Columbus State, where he now serves as an adjunct professor, sharing his passion for technology with the next generation.

Jonathan’s academic pursuits didn’t stop there. He went on to earn both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Technology from Franklin University, followed by an MBA from Western Governors University. Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a desire to make an impact, Jonathan is set to start law school at Capital University in September 2025, continuing his commitment to personal growth and community service.

In 2023, after completing his MBA, Jonathan embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by founding Checking On Our Loved Ones (COOLO Care). His mission? To use cloud technology and human connection to create meaningful change. Jonathan saw a critical need for compassionate, persistent communication that was delivered by real people trained in empathy—not AI.

With COOLO Care, Jonathan aims to ensure that every person in the community who needs support, whether through calls, texts, or in-person visits, feels seen, valued, and cared for. His vision extends beyond service; it’s about building a healthcare environment that’s accountable and uplifting, documenting needs, and advocating for those who rely on others for their well-being.

Jonathan is deeply committed to using technology and human connection to create jobs locally and provide essential outreach services to those who need them most. His mission is simple but powerful: to spread love and compassion, one call, one visit, and one check-in at a time.
